20 1/2" tall, early bisque sockethead child, French or made for the French market, c.1880, incised only: 4. She has lovely, large, dark brown, sleep eyes, upper and lower finely painted lashes with glossy brown eyebrows, light cheek color, very finely molded open mouth with outline and row of square-cut, inset teeth and pierced ears. She has a fully-jointed composition body, legs either repainted or replaced, and wears a lovely, rust color silk, French-style outfit with matching bonnet, both trimmed in lace with tiny pleats, etc., long, brown hair in ringlets. Outstanding doll.
